1886 - Founded as Dial Square
1887 - Renamed to Royal Arsenal
1893 - Renamed to Woolwich Arsenal
1914 - Renamed to Arsenal
Furthermore, in 1932 the local Underground station was renamed to Arsenal, in honour of the local football club. That does not happen very often!
Today Arsenal is one of the richest football clubs in the world with huge matchday revenues and gates of over 60,000 for each home game.
