                                  Chelsea FC Crowds

Chelsea’s average home gate of 41,500 for 2011-12 was the 6th highest in the Premier League.

Back on 12 October 1935 82,905 turned up at Stamford Bridge for the game with Arsenal. Still one of the highest ever crowds in English football.

A similar number went to the friendly against Moscow Dynamo on 13 November 1945.

The best season for average attendances however was 1954-55 with an average crowd of 47,931 at home games. This was Chelsea’s first championship winning season of course.
